About 70 miles north of Redding, CA on I-5 is Weed. There is a Motel 6 with truck parking. $43.99 a night, and no food within walking distance. Its very clean, and easy access. Mcdonalds, Subway, and a truck stop are all 1.9 miles south of the motel. Spectacular view of Mt. Shasta! Beautiful, peaceful surrounding area. If your ever up this way, I would strongly recommend the Motel 6, in Weed.
