Yesterday oil hit $111.00 a barrel. I am in Seattle, and fuel is as high as $4.20 a gallon.

I see you haven't posted the new record for oil. I bet all you guys on the road are really feeling it now with fuel @$5.00 plus a gallon . Not the best time to try your hand at that trucking thing huh. Good luck to all of you. |

Its not that bad, the prices are coming up on cars that are moving also. I just did a run to Pembina ND 2000 miles for $5100. Ended up with $3000 profit after fuel, food, and hotels and 4 days work. Sure paying $5.00+ a gallon is tough in your head, but you just have to make sure when your building your loads that they are paying enough.
Experts are saying that the next 6-9 months are going to be tough, but I havent seen the effect in car hauling. Repos and auction cars are SERIOUSLY moving right now. Cmon Clint, get that truck and trailer and move some cars with me. _________________ 2003 Dodge 3500 dually

I would consider it Phil but that requires a little something called money. I am glad to here that you're not losing your butt on the fuel price though. that's pretty good money for hauling cars around. Keep it up and you just might not be able to see us little people any more. keep the rubber side down.
